In the period from 13 to 17 April "SEEBE", Belgrade Construction Fair 2010 had been taking place and Zorka Keramika could not miss this unique opportunity to meet its distributors and potential clients. “Zorka Keramika "participated along with" Zorka Opeka" having its stand at Hall 2A under the well-known slogan "we make.you create". Our main target this time was to present in public both the series and application ideas that were shown to our distributors already at the end of the last year and at the same time to show some face lifts of the popular series from the collection Timeless & Vision like Zemus, Mattina, Ana, Sentiero or Vulkano. Last but not least we prodly presented completly new series Summertime, Crystal, Orion and Waves that are our answer both to the wishes of our customers and to the recent ceramic tile design trends. Zorka Keramika event with customers in Banja Luka
On 19/03/2010 Zorka Keramika organized for its clients distributing the Zorka Keramika ceramic tiles in Bosna and Herzegovina a social meeting. We made use of the fact that on 17 –22.03.2010 the construction fair was held in Banja Luka, but prefered to meet the clients in more private and much more personal way. Instead of a rush meeting with busy clients on the fair ground we invited the clients to a cosy restaurant of the hotel Fortuna for an unformal meeting. We served delicious food, excelent wines and rakija and as an apetizer some pre-views of the news that will be officially for the first time presented on the occassion of the Beograd Construction Fair held on from 13th to 17th April. Both the completly new sereis as well as some face-lifts of the existing ones rouse the interest of our clients and we do hope to have inspired them to visit our stand in Beograd. After the short product presentation all toghether enjoyed the evening by friendly socializing, music and dance until the early morning hours. The spirit was great and the clients and members of the Zorka sales team have familiarized with each other in the most pleasant way – see the photos.
The new concept of presenting the product and marketing support
With the changes that have occurred in the previous period, with the aim of presenting the “Zorka Keramika” as a brand, set up a new graphic standards, and systems present their products and promote the sale. A new way to present the product is defined as the marketing support the brand “Zorka Keramika”, and is reflected in the work of the new marketing director Predrag Jankovic to meet clients demands for better sales, and therefore closer to the goal of selling the team to products “Zorka Keramika” become more than dominant. “Instruction on the sale of marketing”, customers are opting for ways to promote products, which have a positive effect on sales conditions. Customers can choose to promote exercise in environments that are made towards the environment in which it is presented in which a team of sales and marketing helps designer Andrea Vaculikova, or the rich array of presenters and hand ekspositors for presentation to wall and floor tiles.

For the first time in history,”Zorka Keramika “, led a team of sales, there is a lady.This role is assigned to Vesna Gajic, former director of marketing.With the new year and new director of sales and there was a policy to restructure the sales and sales team is now divided into two parts “Domestic” and “Export” market. Sales team on this occasion, enhanced by three new members and that, new sales manager in the department of export, the new back office assistant, as well as the new director of marketing. In front of them to one goal and that is to make the Zorka Keramika competitive and recognizable brand in Europe. New showroom and €750,000 investment
Zorka Keramika, member of the Austrian Alas Holding, opened its first showroom within the plant building in Šabac. The opening of the showroom tops the investments in modernisation of the company and the plant in which Alas has invested €14.5 million since the beginning of the privatisation.
“Following the modern trends in industry of construction material, we came up with this idea in order to raise our services to a higher level and give the possibility to all interested buyers, designers and architects to get introduced with the new products and solutions at one place, Petr Stejskal, member of the company’s Managing Board pointed out.
In order to meet the highest European standards in a more efficient production, the company started investing in reduction of energy consumption in the production process. The first phase is planned to be finished by the end of the year and in next two years, the company will invest €250,000, and the additional €500,000 by 2013.
In the showroom, visitors can find 15 ambiences, and 50 series and colours variants of Zorka Keramika’s products. The available products comprise a new tile collection entitled “New Vision 2010”, which provides new tiles of modern design. In addition, the series involves a wide range of colours, as well as tile designs that meet highest aesthetic standards. The greatest quality of wall and floor tiles Red Pepper, White Night, Imperial, Yellow, as well as Iberica floor tiles involve the ability to make a number of colour, size and design combinations,” said Vesna Gajić, Marketing Manager.
Through its new investments, in spite of the financial crisis that hit construction industry, Zorka Keramika once again proved it succeeded to maintain planned production projected back in early 2009.
With the installed capacity of 6 million sqm a year, i.e. with average of over 15,000 sqm a day, Zorka Keramika plans to increase the sales by additional 30%. Approximately half of this year´s production was exported, mainly to the regional markets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia and Austria.
Zorka Keramika, the largest domestic tile producer, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Spanish renowned producer, Keraben, in September. Moreover, Zorka Keramika is the only company in the region that has met the Spanish producer’s high standards, which was the reason why Keraben decided to choose Zorka Keramika as the centre of its future operations in the region.

Strategic partnership of Zorka Keramika and Spanish Keraben
As an answer to challenges of increasingly more demanding European market, Zorka Keramika, the biggest domestic manufacturer of ceramic tiles, signed a contract on strategic partnership with a Spain’s renowned manufacturer, the Keraben Company.
Zorka Keramika is the only company in the region that has met high standards of the Spanish manufacturer, which is the reason why Keraben has chosen precisely us as the centre of their future business operations in the region. The objective of this cooperation, in which both partners hold 50% of capital is to have Keraben’s products sold in Serbia. In addition, the goal is to market Keraben’s products from our country to the entire Balkan region – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Albania.
“By investing between 2 and 3 million euros, we will place some 2 million m2 of Keraben tiles to the markets of Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia Herzegovina. As a result, export will make over 50% of our income in months to come“, said Marcus Bogdanovic, President of Austrian Alas Holding, subsidiary of which Zorka Keramika is.
The arrival of the Spanish tile manufacturer in Serbia is a strategic decision motivated by economic development of the region, Zorka Keramika’s high standards, as well as the firm’s excellent position in the market. Keraben will open a show room and form a sales team in Belgrade in early 2010.
